THE AMENDMENT TO DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE No. 143/KMK.05/1997
ON
THE EXEMPTION FROM IMPORT DUTY AND EXCISE ON THE IMPORT OF GOODS FOR THE PURPOSE OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

THE MINISTER OF FINANCE,

Considering :

• a. that centers within the Ministry of Marine and Fishery as stipulated in Attachment III points 6, 7, 12 and 60 of Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 143/KMK.05/1997 on the exemption from import duty and excise on the import of goods for the purpose of scientific research and development constitute agencies securing the exemption from import duty on the import of goods from scientific purposes;
• b. that changes in the organization and working arrangement of the Ministry of Marine and Fishery cause the agencies as meant in letter a to, be affiliated to new centers as well as result in new agencies within the Ministry of Marine;
• c. that based on the considerations as meant in letters a and b, it is necessary to stipulate a decree of the Minister of Finance on the amendment to Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 143/KMK.05/1997 on the exemption from import duty and excise on the import of goods for the purpose of scientific research and development;

In view of :

• 1. Law No. 10/1995 on customs affairs (Statute Book of 1995 No. 75, Supplement to Statute Book No. 3612);
• 2. Presidential Decree No. 228/M/2001;
• 3. Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 143/KMK.05/1997 (BN No. 6006 pages 9A - 10A) on Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 143/KMK.05/1997 on the exemption from import duty and excise on the import of goods for the purpose of scientific research and development;

DECIDES :

To stipulate :

THE DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE ON THE AMENDMENT TO DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE NO. 143/KMK.05/1997 CONCERNING THE EXEMPTION FROM IMPORT DUTY AND EXCISE ON THE IMPORT OF GOODS FOR THE PURPOSE OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT.

Article 1

To amend Attachment III to Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 143/KMK.05/1997 so as to be as contained in the attachment to this decree.

Article 2

The decree comes into force as from the date of stipulation.

For public cognizance, the decree shall be published by placing it in State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
